Rocklin Firefighters Support Measure C

When you call 911, you expect help to be on the way. Responding to those calls is what we do every day, and it is one of the reasons Rocklin Firefighters support Measure C.

Rocklin firefighters respond to fires, medical emergencies and other calls for help throughout our community every day.

Measure C is a half-cent local sales tax. If approved by voters, it is estimated to generate approximately $8 million each year for the City of Rocklin. That money would stay in Rocklin and go into the City’s General Fund.

Measure C is a general tax. That is important. The money is not set aside specifically for the fire department, and there is no guaranteed amount that would go to any one department. The revenue can be used for public safety and other City services.

The revenue would also be subject to annual audits and public spending disclosure. All revenue raised by Measure C would remain with the City and would not be shared with the State, County or another agency.

Why Rocklin Firefighters Support Measure C

We know what it takes to provide fire protection, emergency medical response and other emergency services to this community.

Measure C would provide the City with additional General Fund revenue that can be used for public safety along with other City services. It keeps those dollars local and includes annual audits and public reporting.

For us, this is about making sure Rocklin continues to have the resources available to support the services our community depends on.

Measure C

To maintain Rocklin’s public safety, financial stability and core public services, including: rapid 911 emergency/medical response; police/ fire protection; keeping public areas and parks healthy/ safe/ clean; preserving open space; preventing wildfires; shall the City of Rocklin’s measure establishing a half-cent sales tax, providing approximately $8 million annually for general revenue purposes, until ended by voters, keeping all funds local, with annual audits/ public spending disclosure, be adopted?
